Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into a family in South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss while her mother was English. Her family was in the southern part of London Council Estate and was a student at The Brit School aged 14. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was obtained. The stage she appeared in was several productions as a student such as King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had appearances as a guest in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer was her role in the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After the film's success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured on six of the episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi role on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was the main character in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She has performed in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written by David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was eventually cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. After being a regular for the first two seasons, the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to leave the show after her appearance on the first episode in the season's third. In the TV series Salem, she played Tituba in 2014 through 2016. From June to July 2012, the actress was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he had a role alongside her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty along with her older brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers, who were who were all extremely physically active, were all playing hockey during the winter and baseball during the summer months, which means they grew up mostly in parks and arenas. Ashley could not walk but was able to dance. This led to the fact that as she grew older, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing shortly after she joined the Baby Ballet. Until she graduated from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics lyrical, musical theatre and hip hop. She won the top soloist at each of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
