Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter from Canada. [2][3] Her early work has been described as going into "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop,[4] and has incorporated influences from electronic music hip-hop and rock. Her lyrics often touch on gender issues and science fiction. Five studio albums have been published by the singer. Grimes was born and raised in Vancouver but moved to Montreal in 2000. Grimes started releasing her music in solo fashion from the mid 2000s. There were albums out through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa in the year 2010. In 2012, Visions will be her third studio effort. The band was signed to 4AD. Visions is comprised of the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion". It was also awarded the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. Art Angels, her fourth studio record, was released in 2015. Several publications called it one of the greatest albums. In the year 2020, she released Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes was also an actor as well as a judge for Alter Ego's music competitions, was the vocalist in Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 2020.
