The media coverage resulted in her signing a contract with a record label with Island Records, and then a management agreement with Bieber's manager. Beer also appeared in an uncredited role in Louder Than Words (starring David Duchovny) that premiered at the festival in 2013. The debut single she released"Melodies," her melismatic and poppy song "Melodies," also saw release in the middle of the year.Beer's vocals started appearing on the songs of other artists like Cody Simpson's "Valentine" and the 2015 club track "I Will Not Let You walk away" by Mako. She released her debut solo album, As She Likes, in 2018. The lead single "Home with You" landed in the Top 30 in Norway, while the EP made it to the top tier of the Billboard 200. Beer released the single non-album "Hurts Like Hell" with Offset in the same year.
